I built debug version of boost and tried again. Sadly enough, the stack
trace is nearly the same:

Personally, I'd consider this a show stopper.
source code: int main() {}
compiled with: g++ test.cpp -l boost_filesystem -l boost_system
-L$BINARIES/1.44/lib
Just to make sure that gcc-4.5.1 is not to blame here, I tried the same
with boost-1.41. No problem.
Please let me know if I can help solving the problem (I am not
knowledgeable about locales and facets, though). I'm sure I can find
some time tomorrow or on Sunday

Roland
