Uhmm "...must not result in r1 = r3 = 1 and r1 = r3 = 0" sounds like a
typo (the second r1 = r3 = 1 is just copy&paste lacking subsequent edits
regarding numbers).

...must not result in r1 = r3 = 1 and r2 = r4 = 0 is what is meant, I
suppose.
