I would definitely come up with a proposal specifying a reasonable 
amount of work for a summer project and post it here. We'll help you 
get it into a state where the Boost community will rank it highly, 
after all, it's the same people here advising you who will be doing 
the ranking!

Also, having Joel onboard as your mentor is a huge added advantage. 
You really lucked out there, congrats!
