FWIW: The compile fails for a deprecated lib i.e. signals, while the
newer signals2 seemingly does not trigger an error.
I tried to compile with the switch: --without-signals
Could this be an explanation while the regression does not show up as an
error?
BTW: How is a deprecated lib expected to be handled for a "new" compiler?
