That's only an advantage if people don't abuse it by making equations
unreadably small. Some equations have small symbols in exponent or
subscript...
Assuming the left column shows the size of regular text for reference, I
prefer the third column because the second one is too small. Rescale the
second one and it becomes better.
I just want to make sure that the scale difference is an accident and does
not reflect an intention to make equations smaller than regular text in
the doc.
