You are missing the point, "trying to get more women to participate" is a
misguided objective, IMO. Not, because I don't like or want them, but
because I think that if women are/would be interested they will/would
participate. What I dislike about it that it treats women as if they are
somehow handicapped or not able to fend for themselves, which I think is
discriminatory in it own right.
