Respectfully, this seems to be getting slightly off-topic. I enjoyed the discussions about the benefits of Fossil-scm.
Although, I think (or hope) that we can all agree that there could be efforts to make most any open-source community be more welcoming.

What is being asked here is to abandon merit as the most important value and instead to focus on equality of outcome based on immutable characteristics instead.
