A week seems too long, I'd just give it a few days. These changes should 
be ready for the release branch as soon as possible (I expect the tools 
will need to be one of the first things to be added and will be expected 
to be fairly stable, since everything relies on them). If anyone is 
upset the changes can be reverted. I don't think you're going to get 
more comments by waiting.
