The quickbook docs specify that the following document types are allowed:

boost/article/library/chapter/part/appendix/preface/qandadiv/qandaset/reference/set.

However, since quickbook deals with *sections*, and can't be used to insert 
other block-markup using escapes (because it puts the block inside a 
paragraph), then in reality only:

article/library/chapter/appendix/preface

Will actually generate valid XML.  I realize that the XSL stylesheets don't 
care too much about that, but PDF generation does because the FO gets 
validated by tools like XEP.

Thoughts?

At the very least this should probably be documented somewhere,
