[FSM] Self-events feature interest poll

Hello, I'd like to know if there is any interest in a new feature addition to the Boost.FSM library, been proposed for a review some time ago. The feature is an ability to post events to the state machine from within its state. These events would be delivered after the control returns from on_process event handler and would be delivered just like if were sent from outside the FSM. This allows to introduce a set of internal FSM events that may be used to perform complex processing of external events in different states. The downside is that the feature is apparently in conflict with ability to return something from the FSM's process method, so the return type will be forced to be void. Is this feature worth further thinking of and implementing? [proto] another problem w/ terminal matching

Eric, I've found more about the root problem in my code. A pattern for a terminal was not matching and the thus the transform for unary_expr was applied. In the code included, I define a class, K_aux, which inherits from meta_expression<typename proto::terminal<K<mpl::int_<N> >, Normally, objects of type K_aux match a pattern terminal<K<proto::_> >. I'm still fuzzy on why two layers of the type are skipped, but I'm fine with it. Now, if K_aux defines a type named type (e.g. effectively becoming a nullary metafunction) the pattern doesn't match anymore. If this is intentional or unavoidable it should be mentioned in the docs. In boldface. Btw, the entire exercise is to get real compile time constants. I can change the name of the typedef'd type and use code similar to this, but if there was a better way I'd liek to hear. I did a search in the mailing against the mailing list to find out what this was all about. As far as I can tell, the person in question posted one message to the group, that he was willing to volunteer to be a review manager. I couldnt find a second post, let alone a third posting. In any event, I missed his posting(s) and as I never received a direct email from him, I was not aware that he had volunteered.

[proto] grammar matching issue

This one took me a long time to understand, and now that I think I understand it, I'm pretty sure I don't like Apparently (at least in the situation shown below, with user defined domain and expressions) unary_expr matches terminal< >. This was surprising to me because I was working under the assumption that unary_expr matched only bona-fide unary C++ operators. Ordering should have solved the problem in my real code, so I still have investigations to do. In my case I need to match both things, but threat the case separately (e.g. a terminal<foo> will be transfromed differently from a terminal<bar> and even more differently from ++a). Now, I can certainly (I think, not tested) wrap unary_expr in a proto::and_ that tests the tag, but it seems such a common occurrence that I'd like it to be the default proto behaviour. Unless I'm doing something stupid. Boost Asio error

Hello, I've just discovered boots::asio. Looks good but got a small problem. I'm basing my client on the chat_client example, but having a problem. In the example, command line arguments are passed to the chat_client specifying server details. My question is, what is the format of the argv in the example? I have modified things a little to fit into my system, but am not sure what to pass the chat_client class.
