fusion fold behaves as reverse_fold

In order to use the latest result_of mechanism in fusion, I updated my working copy from cvs head a couple of hours ago. The following example from the fusion documentation asserts, and I experienced similiar behaviour in my code, which stopped working. The generated string in the example is "21", not "12" as expected. Passing result of boost::assign::list_of/map_list_of to ctor

I want to pass the result of a map_list_of call as an argument to a class ctor, but the only way I've managed to do this is by using some stuff from the assign_detail namespace. Is there any other (more elegant) way of achieving this? See example code below. I'm not sure about this. The function object f is called with f(*it). The dereference may return either l or rvalues depending on its implementation. The Boost.ResultOf docs are not specific about passing T versus T&. Looking a the draft TR1 docs, if Ti is a reference ti is an lvalue, otherwise it is an rvalue. As rvalues are possible, the above code looks correct. Assuming Boost.ResultOf behaves like the TR1 spec, I think the above is ok(?) It is possible this usage is not consistent correct across Fusion though. I'll have a review of the result_of usage shortly when I get a chance. hi I am using boost for gnash support package. $cd tools/jam/src/ Then i executed build.sh. I got an executable file bjam under the new directory bin.linuxx86. Then again i went to the $TOPDIR. I added the bjam to the PATH variable.and executed: $bjam -sTOOLS=arm-linux-gcc (What i have done till is r8?) But it ends up showing a lot of errors. I write C++ code on an x86 PC and cross-compile to an ARM system, but I have avoided cross-compiling Boost itself. I run Debian on both the x86 system and the ARM system (an NSLU2), and I have installed the Debian ARM Boost libraries on the x86 system using dpkg-cross and apt-cross. This is method works very smoothly for me. Of course, it only works if the libraries that you need are in Debian, but most are. Also note that many Boost libraries are header-only, so no cross-compilation is needed. Hopefully someone else will reply with a more direct answer for you. But I strongly suggest that you provide more information about your problem than "But no results". If you post exactly what you did, and exactly what happened in response, there is more chance that someone will spot the problem. Regards, Phil.

bug in graph library???

Hello, I'm trying to use the boost graph library and I have a little problem with its implementation of Dijkstra. dijkstra_shortest_paths throws a negative_edge exception and I _do not_ have any negative edge in my graph (checked it both when I add the edges and their weights to the graph and by iterating through the edges once I finish constructing it). Did anyone have a similar problem? Thanks. Andreea

Independent Libraries Versioning proposal

I just don't have time to complete it now and won't until weekend. But it should be complete enough to explain all the key points (and some more). Is there any interest in a small observable_value library?

I have an idea of a small class which bundles a value and a way of listening to changes in it. I find this concept very useful when developing event-driven applications and wonder if there is any interest in a small library. My idea of how this could be implemented builds on top of boost::slots and signals. [soc] Boost.extension/reflection project advances

Hi Community...! As some of you may know, I'm working on a SoC project called "Boost.extensions and reflection". Boost.extensions is a library that we want to submit for revision to Boost. It was started by Jeremy Pack and now I'm working (along with Jeremy and my mentor Hartmut Kaiser) on several improvements to prepare it for revision. Having this finished, I'll focus on implementing some Reflection functionalities (on top of Extensions) into a new library. I'm writing this email because we think that it's very important for this program to keep you posted, as in that way we could benefit from your feedback and the community could benefit knowing about what we're doing. I'll send a mail like this periodically (probably once a week or two) to let you know the advances. Let's start with our work since the start of the program (a week ago): - After the initial phase of reviewing the actual source code I started to write some new unit tests. Basically, this new unit tests check the functionality of some of the examples (hello_world and multiple_inheritance for now). - I've been analyzing the Info class functionality and I've written two new examples, one very basic, like the "hello world" of the info class (and it's related to the original extensions hello world indeed) and other more complete. Just to let you know, Info class is a class that you could attach to the implementations where you can store the information that you need. This is very powerful as you can, for example, make it a pointer to some base class and then store different kinds of information in derived classes (this is shown in the complete example). For the next week we are planning: - Document the Info class and the new examples. - Test some border cases. - Fix some problems with LD_LIBRARY_PATH in certain platforms. - Make some benchmarks about the overhead of some parts of the library. - Fix some bugs with the registry class.
