Sorry, I lied. Changing const char* to std::string fixed this problem in
Boost 1.38's version of ASIO. I didn't notice that I changed the include
paths and thought I was using 1.41.
When I changed it to use 1.41, the problem continued to occur; the
std::string change did nothing.
I've also tested with two different machines on the LAN; ASIO cannot find
endpoints to either, but winsock can connect to them no problem.
