 What happens if you modify:

 asio/detail/select_interrupter.hpp
 asio/detail/socket_select_interrupter.hpp
 asio/detail/impl/socket_select_interrupter.ipp
 }}}

 so that socket_select_interrupter is used on Mac OS X?
