 I created this patch in September 2010 for building Debian packages of
 Boost libraries. The goal is that the installed libraries do not have
 rpath hardcoded for reasons given.

 Recently, I created Debian packages from the 1.46.1 Boost sources that
 also install the Boost.Build files. Unfortunately, my change now shows up
 in the installed gcc.jam file, which means that ordinary users that prefer
 or require the rpath encoding for their work suddenly don't have it. See
 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=619766. Can you help me
 turn the patch into a feature that I can switch off for vendor library
 builds but let others embed rpath when necessary?
