I'm not quite sure it's the right fix; I think Cygwin users (running
under the cygwin shell, which I am not) want things to work just like
they on real unix. I'm pretty sure the cygwin shell will treat those
symbolic links properly, provided the file they point at ends in .exe:
foo.1.27.0.exe
