Hi!

Yes, I finally found what was causing the directories to be invalid.
The reason was due to my already existing enviroment variable BUILD 
which was set to D:\build (used by our build system at work).

Hmm. Maybe I should have recognized that, but I was not aware of
Boost having a global variable named BUILD and... 
Anyway, problem has been solved :-)

ps: If there is a kind of fault-detecting guideline or FAQ
for building the Boost libraries this issue may fit in there!?
