newbie trying fruitlessly to figure out how to install Boost

I shouldn't blame the documentation, obviously it has been used 
extensively to install and build Boost.

I'd like to install boost on Windows XP , I've BorlandC++BuilderX 
installed. I've not successfuly followed the documentation to figure 
out a robust thread of installation procedure. Could you please 
provide me with a clear roadmap into this.
