Thanks!! But I still am in the dark. I am now getting:

jamfile:8: in module scope
rule subproject unknown in module

I am using windows 2000 pro command window and have the examples 
based in the directory 
D:\Cpp\boost\bjam\example

What command line do I need to get this to work? And what do I need 
to change compilers (other than having the exectables on the path)?
