OK, dully corrected my understanding :-) My question now is: Does the
C++ port of bjam obviate the need to rewrite BB in Python? Or is the Jam
language itself the problem?

Well, it would be interesting if someone contributes an Scons toolset.
At least that way it gives users that use Scons the ability to integrate
Boost into their projects more conveniently.
