Lots of warnings about ".rodata" have to do with poor combination of binutils (ld) version
and gcc version for your distribution.
I don't have URL handy but searching for this error in gcc bugzilla will give you
the relevant bug. I'm not aware of any workarounds other than getting versions of
binutils and gcc that work together. This is a question to distro makers.
