Sorry can't understand this one. I was under the impression you are
using the mingw compiler. Not?

Or do you mean you are not using anything from msys?

I am using mingw natively (without any notion of cygwin and msys)
all the time! But in this setup the _native_ threading API _is_ win32
(not pthread). Am I still not understanding what you are trying to do?

@anthony: please don't patch the Jamfile without contacting me first.
