Our project team is considering using boost-build as the build tool for our Java code. I have downloaded boost-build v2 and boost jam and set them up according to the instructions. When I looked in the boost-build/tools directory I did NOT find a java.jam file. I did however find jam files for Fortran and Python.
>From my reading of the boost-build documentation, I am given to understand that boost-build is very much C and C++ centric.
I have googled "boost build and java" and I found that the only references are about 4 emails that are dated about 4 years ago. I read the emails and I understand that some progress was made but I don't believe that there is good support for Java.
I would appreciate any comments and other help relating to the appropriateness of boost build as a tool for building Java code.
Thanks in advance.
