Subject: [Boost-build] boost-build version shipping with boost libraries?

Hello,
I have a question regarding boost build releases:

So far I've been using boost-build-2.0-m12 from the boost build web
site: http://www.boost.org/doc/tools/build/index.html
Yesterday I've been running into build problems porting my project to
Mac OS X. I had no issues building boost 1.36 though. So I checked
darwin.jam from my 2.0-m12 against whatever version which ships with
the boost source libraries (which version is this anyway) and noticed
that they differed quite a bit.

I also noticed the link to boost jam on boost.org
(http://www.boost.org/users/download/boost_jam_3_1_17). But no direct
link to boost build's site at
http://www.boost.org/doc/tools/build/index.html itself.

I find this really confusing. Why is boost-jam shipping separately
from boost-build and which version is recommended to be used
(boost-build-2.0-m12, nightly snapshot or whatever version ships with
the boost libraries)?

Regards,
Sebastian
