   Could you please check whether revision [79310] works ok at your
test locations?

   I found a bug (my fault :-() in revision [79311] that was causing the 
spurious/random/non-reproducible errors I was seeing.

   I could commit a fix directly but I guess it would be safer if you 
first confirmed that this was actually the bug that was causing failures 
on your end. That way, if it is not, regular testing will not suffer 
another stall...

   Btw. the error I caught was in bad error handling for the case when 
something created a temporary file, Boost Jam detected it and then the 
file got deleted before Boost Jam tried and failed to stat() it.
