[Boost-build] master/develop branches

I just checked out modular boost from
git_at_[hidden]:boostorg/boost.git ,and I'm having trouble building.
With master/develop, I get:

Unable to load Boost.Build: could not find build system.

/home/pmartini/opensource/boost/github/boost-build.jam attempted to
load the build system by invoking

   'boost-build tools/build/v2 ;'

but we were unable to find "bootstrap.jam" in the specified directory

The issue being that the 'v2' directory doesn't exist at all.

And with boost-1.55.0, I get errors about link-directory, so that
doesn't work either.

My concern with master and develop is the history shows no commits
between December 2011 and January 2014, which can't be right, but
would probably explain the lack of a 'v2' directory.  Can someone
point me in the right direction?
