Thanks for looking at this. Unfortunately, this is not a problem that I can 
reliably reproduce at present. Builds normally work properly. But every so 
often, the error manifests and our CI system (Jenkins) reports a bad build, 
with logs showing the problem described.

I'm trying to come up with a reproducible case.
