I'm checking with Kevin to see if he'll run the GCC 4.0 tests 
regularly. We (OSL) *might* be able to upgrade one of our systems to 
GCC 4.0.0, but that requires a major upgrade of the operating system... 
and I can't do that on my desktop box.
