I think I saw this the other day. Is this the problem where it is trying 
to instantiate an abstract class? If so, my guess is:

  * BOOST_IS_ABSTRACT is now an intrinsic for some Visual C++ compilers
  * Some other boost header defines BOOST_IS_ABSTRACT
  * That interferes with your BOOST_IS_ABSTRACT
