How did you set it, and why would it matter? Boost.Build doesn't use
a variable by that name.

Details, please. You couldn't figure out VISUALC, or Boost.Build
couldn't? What were the messages you saw that indicated that?

Which bjam binary did you get (or under which command shell did you
build it) and which command shell are you using to invoke it?
