Try this:
#include <boost/lambda/lambda.hpp>
using namespace boost;
using namespace boost::lambda;
//...
//...
map<int,int> m;
vector<int> a,b;
std::transform(a.begin(), a.end(), std::back_inserter(b), var(m)[_1]);
