Joel,
A quantitative units library has been accepted into Boost. My guess is that
it is slated to release with 1.35. The announcement can be seen here:

In addition, another library of similar purpose was proposed for inclusion
into Boost. It was rejected at the time, and it now maintains its lifecycle
on Sourceforge. If I recall correctly, this library is called "Quan", and
the project page can be found here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/quan/
This is a topic I try to follow, as I am really looking forward to the
inclusion of such a library into Boost.
