Hi,

Yeah, that's exactly what IMO most of us "+1" here are saying.
There is no need to remove this hacky code, as it will bisabled by
Preprocessor, but future versions don't need to support those old
compilers, which makes writing it a lot easier.

If the support is dropped, those - then deprecated - parts of code might
be deleted from version to version, just due to rewriting and improving...
