The good news is: attached is the patch for 1.50.
The bad news is: I tried to do the same for 1.48 but the place where it
is fixed is different there. I then run your code and it went wrong
after step 5. That makes sense because that is why you did send me 6
steps. In 1.50 it went already wrong after the first step. So in some
sense it was worse - but in other senses it was easier to fix. I just
discovered that, otherwise I would have noticed you before.
I could of course try to fix it in a similar place, but the fix I've
done in 1.50 (casting to double) was already handled there, in a
different way at a different place. So there must have been another
issue which has been solved in the meantime. That is not surprising,
because between 1.48 and 1.50 many things have been fixed.
So I hope going to 1.50 is still an option for you!
