Barend, my only intention was to make sure that people did know about
GDAL. I am often surprised that many people are not aware of it,
particularly people working outside of the so-called GIS field. My
assumption is that the Boost.Geometry classes serve a larger community
working in spatial data that is not necessarily grounded on gis principals.
