I'll do the test integration (with help from Jens for the Linux version).

I haven't done anything with the test suite for awhile.  Alan Stokes 
pointed me to ScCons (a make replacement, see 
http://software-carpentry.codesourcery.com/entries/second-round/build/ScCons/), 
and I'm hoping that effort will mature enough for boost to use.

In the meantime, I'll do whatever hacks are needed to build multi-file 
libraries into the regression test.
