Obviously, it's just that the file_finder was needed to emulate POSIX 
shell wildcard expansion for non POSIX platforms.  The arguments 
class generated nothing but, excuse the pun, arguments :o)
The file_finder class would seem to be indisputably useful (although 
there are some obviously desirable extensions, such as excluding 
directories, especially '.' and '..').
I changed the subject line anyway.
