They do offer something - astonignly fast compile times, compared to
C++. I know of a friend who developed a roughly 30000 lines project
which compiled in less than 1 second (while most of my projects take 2-3
minutes to compile, maybe even more -- and that is on a 2.8Ghz Intel
processor).
