Yes. Extended slots was a last minute addition before I zipped up the files
for the review, so their documentation is currently minimal. I think adding
a motivating example to the tutorial as an intermediate or advanced section
would help.

Hmm, yes I think adding a section on thread-safety to the design overview
would help a lot.
