It is unlikely that enough people will agree on a GUI that is usable as it
comes; So it would be a better use of time at this point to provide the
tools needed to build a portable GUI Library (so they will not need to worry
about adding support for all the diffrent platforms) and tools that can make
the task of making said library less monumental. After all, that is what the
Standard Library and Boost do: they provide an interface for accessing
system services in a portable manner and tools to make writing applications
easier.
