I use git on windows, linux and OSX on a regular basis and windows support
is fine. MSysGit combined with TortoiseGit makes it easy to use for
beginners, tho sometimes git's performance on windows is a bit slow.

Linux lacks a good TortoiseGit equivalent that integrates with the file
explore imho, but this is improving with RabbitCVS & GitG.
