Everything should be accessible at a glance from the main table of
contents. Is there something missing from there?

Yes, there are a few minor things that I wrote up based on trunk that
I have removed from this version. Then there a whole pile of changes
that the maintainer has not documented and it is unclear which of
these are really ready or not.

I'd rather document the current 1.55 release and move forward. It's
already taken over 6 months to get to this point, I see no point in
delaying any further.
