I have no idea why you think this is acceptable.
The devel branch DOESN'T SHIP.
If this was fixed a long, long, long, time ago then THERE IS NO EXCUSE
FOR IT BEING BROKEN IN THE CURRENT VERSION OF BOOST FOR YEARS.
