This is not a problem. It simply gets treated as an implementation 
detail of the AFIO library under review. There is precedence for this 
type of thing in which sometimes a useful detail becomes a stand-alone 
library (after an independent review) at a later time.

We have also seen in the past that an implementation detail is too 
clever or deemed unnecessary by the community. That causes the review to 
bog down in territory that is not salient to the library core; however, 
must be resolved.
