I believe I have already responded [1] to your message sent to Boost GIL list,
but I've copied it below:

Given that, for GIL:

- number of mentors is limited to two
- number of students who've already applied is greater than two
- number of students have been discussing details with mentors for weeks now
- you are embarking the GSoC on last minute

the only answer that's fair to the students and to the mentors is:
sorry, it is too late.

You're very welcome to plan joining the project next year.
