John, When I compile the following code on VC71 with the flag /arch:SSE2 I get an internal compiler error: c:\boost\include\boost-1_35\boost\math\tools\series.hpp(49) : fatal error C1001: INTERNAL COMPILER ERROR (compiler file 'f:\vs70builds\6030\vc\Compiler\Utc\src\P2\main.c', line 148) Without the SSE2 flag, the code compiles just fine. ---------- #include <boost/math/distributions/fisher_f.hpp> void f() { boost::math::fisher_f fd(3.0, 5.0); cdf(fd, 1.0); } --------- --Johan

[Tokenizer] No way to produce exactly one empty token

Is there any input to boost::tokenizer that will produce exactly one empty token? Consider the following code: typedef boost::char_separator<char> Separator; typedef boost::tokenizer<Separator> Tokenizer; Separator sep("|" , "", keep_empty_tokens); Tokenizer tokenizer1("", sep); Tokenizer tokenizer2("|", sep); The first case, where an empty string is tokenized, produces no tokens. The second case, where a string containing just a separator character is split, produces two empty tokens. It seems odd to me that there’s no input that will produce just one empty token. Sorry about the poor title, it is difficult for me to explain the problem without code so here is a really simple example of what i'm trying to achieve but fails to compile with Boost.Bind: #include <boost/bind.hpp> struct FunFn { typedef void result_type; template < typename Fun > void operator()(Fun fn) const { fn(); } } const Fn; void g() { std::cout << "hello\n"; } int main() { using namespace boost; bind(Fn, bind(Fn, bind(Fn, bind(Fn, ... bind(Fn, g))(); } I get type deduction errors, however i have found workaround using Boost.Function for the time being: #include <boost/function.hpp> ... boost::function< void () > fnN = bind(Fn, g), fnN-1 = bind(Fn, fnN), ..., fn1 = bind(Fn, fn2), fn = bind(Fn, fn1); bind(Fn, fn)();

[1.35.0] Keeping home pages in sync

We've now got two home pages - one for the web site and one for the boost-root tree. We need to figure out how to keep the two in sync without totally duplication of effort. The problem is currently compounded by the boost-root tree home page using HTML and the web site home page using PHP. Every developer needs to be able to update "news" content on both home pages by adding entries in a single place, using a technology that does not involve learning a new markup language or installing a new tool chain. Updating content has to be stone simple, the way it was when we had a single web page written in HTML. Having a beautiful home page is useless if there is no practical way to keep content up-to-date. --Beman

Hi, I've been doing a lot of Googling on this issue and I haven't found a resolution. How can I prevent the boost build process from mangling the library names? I invoke bjam as follows: bjam --toolset=msvc debug stage I would like normal names for the libraries, like: boost_signals.lib and boost_signals.dll. Thanks.
