bind()ing a member boost::signal fails

I'm trying to use bind() on a class member variable of type boost::signal but it fails with the message (GCC 4.0.2): /usr/include/boost/noncopyable.hpp:27: error: ‘boost::noncopyable_::noncopyable::noncopyable(const boost::noncopyable_::noncopyable&)’ is private /usr/include/boost/signals/detail/signal_base.hpp:120: error: within this context I understand that signals are non-copyable per design, yet I'd like to be able to bind them somehow ;-) Is there a better way of doing that other than through a member function acting as a forwarding agent? Sandbox structure (directory level for tags)

These top level directories are found in the repository: sandbox/ sandbox-branches/ sandbox-tags/ And now I found this (yes, I did checkout the sandbox..): sandbox/SOC/2006/concurrency/ branches/ tags/ trunk/ http://svn.boost.org/trac/boost/wiki/BoostSandbox says that the sandbox should be organized by project. Should sandbox-branches and sandbox-tags be removed to make this more clear? /$

Are we moving towards 1.35?

Hallo, I hope to be wrong, but I'm under the impression that, while everybody recognizes that issuing the libraries that have been detained by 1.34's delay is urgent, actual activity is stuck on a couple of strategic decisions. These are the structure of the Subversion repository and the new development process. Actually, I believe these are symptoms of a single meta-problem: how are strategic decisions taken within Boost? I can offer a few proposals: 1) S/he who does the job decides: unfair maybe but, hey, if you're interested, contribute! 2) The moderators decide: undemocratic, but then these are among the people that contributed the most and most continuously over the years; they gained the authority to make decisions on the field. 3) A poll is taken on the mailing list. 4) A non binding poll is taken on the mailing list, then the moderators decide. 5) The review process is used. In order to avoid the obvious bootstrap problem, I suggest that Doug Gregor and Beman Dawes get to choose how to reach a decision for the repository and the process, respectively. GNOCCHI - A COMPLEXITY ANALYSER FOR C++ Gnocchi calculates cyclomatic and the NPATH complexity measures. USES boost.graph boost.program_options boost.filesystem DESCRIPTION It reads the coverage information produced by GCC and determines the complexity of all functions. If code is compiled with -fprofile-arcs or -ftest-coverage (depending on compiler version) GCC creates a .gcno file for every object file. A boost/docbook backend will still be supported, for sure. Backward compatibility is a paramount concern. Most (all?) quickbook documents, except the most simple ones rely on DocBook. As soon as you start "escaping" to DocBook, you become dependent of it. AFAICT, there is no way to break free of that dependency without sacrificing backward compatibility.
