Hi Sorry for the slow reply, I had to think a bit about which approach I preferred. Does the attached code, using transform_view do what you need? Hi Eric Thanks for all the help so far. I'm now filling out my prototype if/else implementation, mainly following your excellent recipe, and I've encountered a little annoyance. If I write an expression like: _1 + _2 ADL finds all the necessary operators etc in boost::proto (_1 and _2 are my placeholders in the phoenix namespace, using your extends mechanism), so it can built the right expression tree. All good so far. If I now write: if_(_1 == _2)[stuff...] // stuff... is unimportant Unfortunately proto::if_ is pulled in. This means I have to qualify phoenix::if_, which looks a bit too verbose for a lambda library. I think this could be addressed by moving the stuff that does not pertain to expression tree generation out of the boost::proto namespace, and into another boost::proto::other_stuff namespace, so the chances of it being pulled during tree construction are reduced, and I can have my unqualified syntax back. [Boost-docs] [Improving Boost Docs] Help Request, Request for Testers

As many of you will be aware, Matias Capeletto has been working at improving the Boost documentation in various ways, one of which is adding webpage functionality. Now, hopefully all these changes are cross-browser compatible, but to make sure, we need testers using as many platforms and browsers as we can get hold of. We currently have the combinations shown below covered, but could do with coverage a) for ones we don't already have, and b) to provide confirmation of existing test results. Firefox 2, Opera 9, Konqueror on Linux Firefox 2, IE 6, IE 7 on Windows XP Firefox 2, Camino 1.5, Safari 3 on Mac OS X If you are willing and able to help with testing (see http://svn.boost.org/trac/boost/wiki/BrowserTestingChart for details of what's involved), please let me know. I will then add you to the list of testers I have and will let you know when updated docs are available and re-testing is required. I'll then collate results (manually at first, but not for long - I'm lazy). So - please get in touch! Stuart Dootson

Question around boost.threads

Hello. I'm using boost.thread as static library and it seems there is a resource leak here. Please explain me setting of tss_hook and other tss_* files. I think it helps me to check if my assumptions are correct. File tss_hooks.cpp contains the following code: // ... // because we cannot delete it again easily. Anyone working on containers with "a better allocator model"?

Not strictly boost related but I thought I should ask in case anyone here is currently working on or know of any collection classes with a "boost like" license that use an allocator model similar to the one described in: http://www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg21/docs/papers/2005/n1850.pdf The main ideas being to decouple the allocator type from the type of a collection and have per instance allocators. Surely I can't be the only one with a need for this?
