I'm fairly sure that just prepending...

rm -f `find v1 -name "*,v"`
rm -f `find v2 -name "*,v"`

..to the script will work. But testing it would be preferable to blindly
doing things to CVS.

As for the tarball, I've done all I can do. I submitted a bug report to SF.
Hopefully they can adjust the tarball process quickly.
