You might want to keep the discussion about wide character support
in gcc to the boost-users list.

I'm building 64-bit with aCC -- see info for HP-UX_ia64_aCC.
No issues specific to 64-bit data mode so far.
I'm planning to start testing HP-UX/ia64/gcc in a 64-bit mode.
