Again, good point. Re-adding them on the free "area" and "loop" 
functions gives indeed the same result, i.e. hardly measurable. So 
inline can go for 3.4.4 as well, on member-functions. However, not 
knowing every compiler, I still favour to keep them, the don't do harm.
